Naomi Chandler | adventure mum

Have you ever wanted to escape to the wilderness with children and babes but have been putting it off? Maybe you need a little inspiration? Naomi Chandler might be just the women to get you motivated. She’s written a guest post for me and allowed me to use some of her beautiful photos. This is her account of finding the resolve to get outdoors with her children. Transitioning from someone who didn't even own boots, to somebody who’s happiest in the wild.

Tasmanian E-bike Adventures | Hobart

I recently joined Tasmanian E-Bike Adventures on a tour of Bangor, a privately-owned property located on the hidden Forestier Peninsula in Tasmania’s South East. It was an amazing day adventuring through a pristine part of Tasmania's wilderness taking in the sights, eating brownies, and spotting cute furry animals.

Roaring 40s Kayaking | Hobart

I embarked on a kayaking adventure around Hobart which was a really fun day out. The paddling was easier then you might expect and the trip is suitable for most fitness levels. I’ve written about my experience of paddling around Hobart’s iconic waterfront here.

Hobart Twilight Market | Sandy Bay

Situated at Sandy Bay’s Long Beach, Hobart Twilight Market creates a unique opportunity to enjoy dinner and post work drinks on a Friday night, whilst watching the sun set and the moon rise over the ocean. Bring your kids, bring your dog, because everyone's invited to this party!

Taste of Tasmania | Hobart

That post Christmas feeling - I was supposed to be eating steamed vegetables, poached eggs, and salads. Instead I got home from a New Year’s camping trip and marched straight to the Taste Of Tasmania (the Taste) where I proceeded to make a pig of myself.

Woolmers Festival of Roses | Longford

One of Tasmania’s most important World Heritage Sites has held its annual Festival of Roses event for 2015.

The event, held on Sunday 15 November, had approximately 6000 attendees. Woolmers’ renowned rose garden was the main drawcard - and it was looking incredible on the day. Awash in the sweet scent of hundreds of different roses, it was a total feast for the senses.

Huon Valley Mid Winter Festival | Grove

We have the incredible folk at Willie Smiths Organic Apple Cider and the Apple Shed to thank for this amazing event. Festival Directors, Andrew Smith and Sam Reid, pulled together a sensational team who created a three day event full of beautiful food, beautiful music, and incredible atmosphere.
