Tasmanian Mum Musings | my delicious morning sickness remedy
It’s no secret that I’m pregnant at the moment.
My belly has popped
I sleep intertwined with a giant pillow.
There are a few Tasmanian items that have made my pregnant journey a little bit nicer. For the extremely niche audience who might be interested in what they are I’ll be intermittently posting about them here.
The first thing I wanted to write about are the Tasmanian made Date and Ginger Biscuits by Healthy Treats by Mrs Rees. Even pre-pregnancy I had a weakness for these gingery bursts of goodness (I feel like I’m writing about my husband ha ha).
If you like a good biccy with your cup of tea then this one is pretty up there: the texture is smooth and mildly addictive, the ginger and date create a chewy caramel bite, and the best bit is they don’t contain any refined sugars and suit a range of food intolerances.
During my first trimester these cookies were my go to as a morning sickness remedy. Their gingery magic really did work wonders calming my tum. They’re much easier to stomach than travel calm tablets that’s for sure.
Visit the Healthy Treats by Mrs Rees website if you want to learn more about these gorgeous biscuits, or any of the other delicious items in their range.
